Energy standards according to SIA, secondary roof, lift system, central water installation with flushing devices, BMA, ELA, IT and much more
After the carnival holidays, the students of the Surbaum primary school in Reinach BL moved into a new school building. The special thing about it: The two buildings are an alternative accommodation made up of modules. Because the old school building is being completely renovated.
The two parallel building complexes, each with three floors, are accessed via a central square; the entrance stairs, ramps and lifts are arranged directly opposite each other. The desire for spacious, communal communication and lounge areas for integrative teaching was also implemented; classrooms with an average size of 75 square meters are directly connected to the multifunctional rooms.
The corridors only serve to access the central areas with stairwells, elevators, vestibules and sanitary cells.
The modular foundations consist of one or two concrete elements: the lower base block, which is used to transfer forces, and, if necessary, a leveling block on top to compensate for the height on sloping terrain. They are moved by crane and can be easily removed and reused after the building is dismantled.
Also crucial are high energy efficiency, regenerative heating systems, modern production methods and strong material efficiency, which is ensured, among other things, by reusing the modules and other components.
In the temporary replacement school in Reinach, the heating system also ensures climate-friendly operation using an air/air heat exchange principle and insulation standards in accordance with SIA requirements.
