Wooden modular construction

Modular buildings have been built for many years. In response to numerous challenges in the construction industry, they are technically well thought-out, energy-optimized, cost-efficient and quickly available. Traditionally, modular buildings have only been made of steel, which is no longer sufficient today. Modular construction made of wood has been established for several years and combines many of the advantages of modular construction with the special features of wood as a material: an exceptional indoor climate, an extremely high quality of stay and increased sustainability.

With our many years of expertise in modular construction, we began developing modules made of wood some time ago - always with the aim of being able to offer a solution made of wood in parallel to our modular buildings made of steel. Our innovative wooden modular construction concept allows us to create buildings with up to three floors and individually plannable roof variants. This creates modern building complexes that impress both in terms of their functionality and external appearance.

Each material has its advantages and special features, but the decisive arguments for both materials are equally convincing, especially in modular construction. Regardless of whether modules are made of wood or conventional steel construction, we deliver tailor-made solutions with short construction times and high cost transparency.

Steel construction is particularly suitable for short-term use and in this area also offers a cost advantage over wooden construction. In contrast, our wooden modules impress with a unique, natural indoor climate and an additional sustainability advantage due to the origin of the material itself. In addition, thanks to smaller wall thicknesses, we achieve more effective usable space with the same building physics values.

Regardless of the material used, all of our buildings offer a high level of flexibility for long-term use and adaptation to changing space needs. They create planning security, cost security and a wide range of design options. We are happy to advise and support builders, architects and planners in finding the optimal mix of materials for the respective building. 

With our origins in temporary modular construction, it is particularly important to us to be able to offer our customers temporary and flexible solutions in timber construction. Based on this idea, we have developed our own plug-in system made of solid wood panels. It makes entire parts of the building dismantled without tools and thus enables the wooden modules to be dismantled or reused. This is the key to temporary use and provides the solution in the spirit of modular construction. 

At the same time, our wooden modular buildings meet the requirements of the Building Energy Act (GEG) 2020 and are therefore also suitable for rental periods of more than 24 months. This means we can create high-quality wooden modular buildings for long-term rental and offer long-term, flexible solutions for special requirements.

Our quality standard is to deliver high-quality materials combined with optimal workmanship. This is what we and our entire team stand for. In order to be able to guarantee this, we regularly subject ourselves to strict controls and tests - including for the RAL quality mark for wooden house construction.

The RAL-GZ 422 quality mark guarantees flawless and high-quality execution for wall, ceiling and roof elements, including on-site assembly.
