The east portal is located near Kalzendorf Osterberg tunnel, a more than 2 km long railway tunnel New Erfurt–Leipzig/Halle line. The Information center to the tunnel is also located at the east portal.
In addition to the customer-specific design in Deutsche Bahn's corporate identity, lining up the units within the curve radius of a moving train was a particular challenge in the construction of this modular information center. This creates a very special atmosphere both outside and inside.
